Life Before Video Games

There was a time not too long ago when a kids life wasn't consumed with video games and text messaging. Those were the times when kids did things. They rode bikes, built forts, lit fires and built models. Some were even skilled enough to pull off shit like this. Holy crap this is COOL!

Sometimes you just HAVE to buy it!

Low on dough but the opportunity doesn't come around twice. I have NEVER regretted anything I bought, only the things I didn't.

The Next Stop.....

In all the years of going to estate sales I have come across some weird shit. This was tucked into some paper stuff my wife picked up years back. What does it mean? Who really knows? I have my suspicions.....

Ghost Signs

"Ghost Signs" is a term that has been coined in recent times to describe those old worn, peeling advertising signs painted on the side of buildings and such. This is a great one that I pass by from time to time and finally got a shot of.

The funny thing about this sign is that the above sign was painted right over the one below.

I Miss the 80's

I was going through some stuff while moving our shop and found this old receipt. Can you imagine paying $125.00 for a Vespa P200 now-a-days? I totally remember the day and the bikes. One was a white P125 with a Black Flag sticker on it and the other was a crashed maroon P200 that I got running a took out for a ride that night. I got pulled over in Palos Verdes and almost lost the bike. That cop hated my guts! Whats the big deal with running a plate from another bike? Sheesh!

Swap Meet Score

So I needed a new tool box for the house and happened upon this beauty yesterday. A bargin at $20.00 I would say. Some people would say that it is rusty and bent and not worth fixing up. I disagree!



Here is a shot of what some WD-40 and a Scotch Brite pad will do. I love the little man stamped into the drawer pulls. I would much rather look at him than a Made in China label!
